Nooch English Muffin

I love nutritional yeast, which is also called "nooch" (for anyone wanting to know this lingo!). I add it to anything and everything- pastas, roasted veggies, popcorn, eggs, etc. It naturally contains protein and B vitamins and many brands fortify it with B12. It has a deliciously cheesy, nutty, umami flavor. I'm addicted. Luckily my local Whole Foods sells it in bulk, so I can #shopnaked for it (meaning I purchase it in my own containers and no single use plastic packaging). See my guide for buying in bulk here.

This Nooch English Muffin is a go-to breakfast for me when I'm craving "cheesiness" in the morning. Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 1 English Muffin (gluten free if desired)

  • 1/4 of an avocado OR 1 Tbsp Ghee (I love Fourth & Heart Brand)

  • 1-2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast

Directions

  1. Toast your English Muffin.

  2. Add the avocado or ghee and then top with the nutritional yeast!
